WEEE Regulation
As per WEEE regulations, Karcher will take back Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) from members of the public 'free of charge'.
WEEE and Battery Collection
We are committed to responsible disposal of electrical and electronic waste (WEEE) and waste batteries in accordance with the European Union (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) Regulations 2014 (S.I. No. 149 of 2014) and European Union (Batteries and Accumulators) Regulations 2014 (S.I. No. 283 of 2014).
We offer free take-back of WEEE and waste batteries for our customers in Ireland. If you are purchasing a new electrical or electronic product from us, we will gladly arrange to take back your old, similar product. Please email us at info@ie.karcher.com and we will arrange a convenient time to collect your like for like electrical product. Otherwise we are happy to accept your product at our Karcher Center at Unit 3, Redcow Retail Centre, Robinhood Road, Ballymount, Dublin 22, D22 PY03
If you are unable to return your WEEE or waste batteries at the time of purchase, please contact us at info@ie.karcher.com to arrange for collection.
We will ensure that all WEEE and waste batteries are recycled and disposed of in an environmentally responsible manner. After collection, the electronics are sent to recycling facilities where they undergo sorting, dismantling, and processing. Valuable materials like metals and plastics are separated and sent to appropriate recycling streams. Hazardous components, such as batteries and certain chemicals, are treated and disposed of safely.
Each local authority must also accept household WEEE free of charge at its recycling facilities.
